I'm just going to make a quick list of frustrations I've encountered over the past few months because otherwise I'd be typing things out all afternoon:

- Agent was utterly unreachable for weeks at a time. No response to e-mails, no response to calls. We finally got hold of his assistant and was told he was out of office but there was no auto-reply from his e-mail account and no one else ever got back when we left voicemails. So you'd better hope he doesn't vanish again at a time when you need him.

- Once he was finally back in the office it was still taking an eternity to get updates on our issue. My finacee called and spoke with his assistant and was told that Michael had e-mailed me a response regarding our concern. There was no e-mail so either he lied to his assistant or his assistant lied to my fiancee. My follow-up e-mail requesting clarification on this discrepancy remains unanswered as I type this review.

- I incurred an additional premium charge of $238 dollars when the insurance company stated that they didn't have proper documentation to support a discount based on the age of the roof on my home. Agent stated that it wasn't his fault because we had originally provided the documentation to a different Comparion agent that no longer worked there. Received a partial refund after proof was provided a second time but was still out over $150 due to Comparion's error/inability to maintain documentation on their customers' accounts.

- My homeowner's insurance didn't auto-renew after the first year came to an end. I found this out because my mortgage lender sent me notice of a $75 fee that I would be incurring due to a lapse of coverage. I've owned a number of homes over the past couple decades and NEVER had an issue with an insurance company failing to notify the lender of an annual auto-renewal.

TLDR: avoid at costs. Allstate provided higher coverages at a lower price anyway so maybe it was for the best that Comparion's customer service was so awful I ended up shopping around.

Angelica is the best! She answered all of my questions and reassured me when I wasn’t sure. She’s is so kind and I would recommend her and Mr Mike to all of friends and family! They really show how much you mean to them, so thank you Angelica and Mr Mike for all of your help!

Mr. Frye very helpful insurance agent I think he's the best I ever had

Imagine a "professional" who is only looking to make a sale while lying/ misrepresenting  the contents of a new policy.   Shyster promised new policy would include gap insurance, and uninsured motorist coverage. Guy lied; PLUS, he never, as he promised he would, contacted the agent from the prior carrier that we were going with a new company. We called him out on his dereliction and declined to do business with him. Guess what?! He didn't cancel the policy and stole almost a thousand dollars from my elderly parents' bank account,  incurring bank over drafts.
I see that there is a similar complaint against this lazy guy in a review made by a woman several months ago.  We will be contacting the NM Insurance Commissioner regarding  his unprofessional behavior and theft.

I visited several local insurance agents when I needed to initiate new auto, home, and personal liability protection insurance policies.  Michael Frye was very generous with his time during my inquiries, and he answered all my questions/concerns in a straightforward, easy to understand manner.  I had some questions about another agency's insurance proposal that I thought might be too low, but that agent was unable to provide me with a reasonable explanation.  When I asked Michael to take a look, he was able to identify a possible error. (He also told me that if the other proposal was valid, it was a great deal, and I should accept it.)  In the event, there was an error in the other proposal, and it was not suitable for my needs.  Michael is a courteous, knowledgeable agent.  I would not hesitate to recommend others to contact him to discuss their insurance needs.

I'm blown away with how quickly the lack of professionalism started. I began working with Michael on 10/2022 and FIVE DAYS LATER the issues began. He wouldn't return calls/texts and if he did, he'd say he'd get back to me with a response to my questions but NEVER did. On an occasion, he said he went out to Las Cruces with family (that’s why he wasn’t responding) and “surely” I knew what that was like. Um, no sir. I’m an adult who takes accountability. Plus, he told me he was in a meeting that day and would call me right after, not that he was heading out on a family vacation. Michael deceived me and gave me a different price, different coverages than what I asked for and assured me I had insurance on my home, when he never even quoted me on it, only to make a sale. Agent negligence at its finest. This guy shouldn’t be allowed to be selling insurance. How is it possible to give a client wrong information about their coverages/rate and not be penalized? I kept trying to figure out how he has such a high rating. In my experience, Michael sent me a link to his webpage on the very first day we worked together. Of course, he had great customer service then but I should’ve waited to do the review. Most people submit their reviews and forget to ever come back. However, not all of us do. Maybe he sends his link to every first time customer. Please don’t be fooled, take this review as your sign to not do business with this guy. He seems to be doing this for the sales, not to actually help clients. There’s no reason why anybody should call to get insurance somewhere, only to be given false information. I can’t even imagine what would have happened if my car or my home would’ve been damaged by some sort of accident and come to find out my coverages were manipulated to get a better sale price or worse… not even having a policy!!!!! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Michael Frye with Liberty Mutual definitely gives you exactly what you are paying for. Their  homeowner insurance is very affordable and is a no-nonsense company. Whenever I call with concerns or just want an update,  Mike is always friendly, kind and very thorough in he's answers. He always explain everything to me in detail that is easily understood. I like Liberty better than my past insurance company . Farmers (past) continued raising my rates in 17 years without a claim.
